According to EUPD Research's SolarProsumerMonitor® 2025/2026, there is are new developments in storage system sizes. The share of small storage systems (≤5 kWh) has increased significantly: From 10% in 2023, to 13% in 2024 and then 24% in 2025. This is driven by the growing attachment rate in the balcony PV segment, the demand for scalable modular systems, and also by changing consumption patterns. Medium-sized systems (5–10 kWh) remain the residential standard, while larger systems (>10 kWh) are stable but not increasing.
