The European energy storage market is experiencing a segmental shift. According to EUPD Research’s Global Energy Transition GET-Matrix©, Europe’s installed storage capacity will increase in 2025; with larger-scale projects at the centre of it bringing massive opportunities and new complexities. While growth in the residential segment is slowing down, with its share expected to drop from 50% to 30%, the C&I segment is speeding up with a projected 12% market share, marking an increase in absolute volume.

Brazil has become one of the top solar markets in the world when it comes to annual addition of PV capacity. Main drivers include net-metering for the small-scale segment, and auctions as well as bilateral PPAs for utility-scale. In general, annual solar PV installations by segment were generally distributed evenly in 2024, with 30% in residential, 32% in C&I and 38% in utility.
