Market Insights – January 2023

According to EUPD Research's Global Energy Transition (GET) Matrix, Portugal is estimated to have installed a minimum of 855 MW of PV by the end of 2022, resulting in a cumulative capacity of ~2.5 GW. EUPD Research reports that the country plans to increase its generation of renewable electricity to 27.4 GW by 2030, of which a large portion is set to come from solar energy. This is expected to lead to a significant increase of PV capacity by 2030.
